Gtechniq
Boosting eCommerce Sales Through Behaviour-Driven HubSpot Automation
Overview
Gtechniq is a global leader in high-performance automotive surface protection, offering a robust eCommerce platform to support their international customer base. Despite high traffic and a wide product range, the brand identified a key opportunity to increase online sales by engaging visitors who browsed products without completing a purchase. To address this, Gtechniq partnered with Nexa Cognition to implement advanced behavioural automation through HubSpot.
Boosting eCommerce Revenue with Behavioural HubSpot Automation
Objectives
The project aimed to enhance eCommerce functionality by introducing intelligent workflows that track user behaviour and re-engage high-interest contacts. Gtechniq’s goals included implementing personalised follow-up based on browsing activity, increasing conversion rates, and building a scalable automation system that would continue to drive sales without overwhelming users.
Challenges
Gtechniq’s existing digital infrastructure lacked the capabilities to encourage and track conversions at a behavioural level. The team needed to create tailored experiences that could identify buying intent and engage contacts with relevant content, without triggering user fatigue through excessive emails. Seamlessly integrating HubSpot with their site data was also critical for success.
Solution
Nexa Cognition implemented a comprehensive behavioural tracking system using HubSpot Custom Events and custom JavaScript to log product page views and tie them to known contacts. A custom CRM object called “Recently Viewed Product” was introduced, along with a “Property View Counter” that tracked engagement on a per-contact basis. Smart email workflows were triggered when a user viewed at least three products, sending personalised promotions at controlled intervals (once every 48 hours) to balance impact with user experience.

Behavioural Automation & eCommerce Revenue Growth
The results were significant. Over 2,000 customers entered the automated workflows weekly, driving an increase in eCommerce revenue from £82.68K to £107.78K. Gtechniq’s marketing and eCommerce teams reported improved customer engagement and a smarter, more effective digital sales strategy. The solution delivered a scalable, automated framework for behavioural marketing, turning passive browsing into consistent, measurable online growth.
